Air bearing supported seat wagons are designed to be easily manoeuvred by one or two operatives and are useful if; for instance, the seat wagons are to be stored within the confines of an understage area. Typically; a seat wagon would be supported on at least three air bearings, the blowers to provide an adequate low pressure air supply would be mounted within the seat wagon framework below the finished floor.
Wheeled seat wagons may be supported on omni-directional castor units and manually operated or the support wheels are fixed and the seat wagon moves in a single axis only, in this case the seat wagons may be motorised.
MRL Systems Ltd is able to provide a design and build service as well as maintenance services for all types of seat wagons.
